Krokmitën is an experimental Death Metal band from Montréal.
[pronounced croc-me-ten] Def: Cajun phonetic spelling of the french word "croque-mitaine". A shapeless imaginary being used by adults to frighten children into behaving.

Syn; Boogeyman, Bonhomme sept-heures, El coco, El ogro, Böögg, Monstret under sängen, Der schwarze Mann, Bicho Papão, Mörkö, Alploochra, Antchoutka, Bouloulou, Namahage...

Krokmitën was founded in 1991 by Simlev and Marcp. After two demos and years of local gigs, we took a lengthy hiatus in 1995 to concentrate on our respective careers. In 2005, we regrouped to work on this ambitious multimedia project, a 46-minute track with animation synced to the music. We are now back with our first album called "alpha-beta" that we offer to you for free!
